fighting!

After building her life in Los Angeles and raising her family here, my Umma (aka Mom in Korean) continued to share her culture through food. Traditional Korean dishes were a daily part of our lives, from quick snacks after school to family meals prepared with care. The flavors we serve today are rooted in those memories: simple, comforting, and made to be shared. Every sauce, marinade, and side dish (or banchan) was made with my Umma’s own hands, creating magic within every bite.

Umma Street Food was created to celebrate that heritage and represent the strength that defines my mom’s journey in LA. We bring together the vibrant flavors of Korean street food and my Umma’s personal recipes that helped keep our family connected to our roots while growing up in Los Angeles. Every item on our menu reflects the foods our mother loved as a child and proudly served to her own children.

If you’re looking for flavors that feel like home, we hope to be a part of your next event and share the dishes that shaped our family's story.

Nothing is better than mom’s cooking —welcome to Umma Street Food.
